We are seeking a Senior Hardware Design Engineer with 6-8 years of experience in embedded hardware development, specializing in microcontroller and microprocessor-based systems. The role involves end-to-end ownership of hardware design, prototype development, validation, debugging, certification, and production support for both New Product Development (NPD) and sustaining projects. Experience
6-8 years of hands-on experience in Embedded Hardware Design and Development.
Technical Expertise
- Strong experience in Digital, Analog, and Mixed-Signal Circuit Design.
- Expertise in Microcontroller/Microprocessor-based Embedded Hardware Development.
- Hands-on experience in Power Supply Design, Battery Management, ADCs, Memories, Buffers, Drivers, Amplifiers, and Sensor Interfaces.
- Good knowledge of Power Electronics Circuits, including MOSFETs, IGBTs, Thyristors, Opto-Isolators, and Solid-State Switching.
- Proficient in hardware communication interfaces such as UART, I²C, SPI, CAN, RS-485, USB, and Ethernet.
- Familiarity with wireless technologies including BLE, Zigbee, Wi-Fi, GPS, and LoRa.
- Experience in Schematic Design, PCB Review, Circuit Simulation, Board Bring-up, and System Validation.
- Strong understanding of EMI/EMC, Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Signal Integrity (SI), and Power Integrity (PI).
- Proficient with Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, Mentor Graphics PADS, and CAM350.
- Hands-on experience with simulation tools such as LTspice, PSpice, and TINA.
- Skilled in using lab equipment including Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, Signal Generators, DMMs, and Electronic Loads.
- Ability to optimize designs for performance, reliability, cost, and manufacturability.
Additional Skills
- Good understanding of PCB stack-up, layout review, signal integrity, power integrity, and design-for-manufacturing principles.
- Working knowledge of EMI/EMC concepts, mitigation techniques, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to optimize designs for performance, reliability, cost, and manufacturability.
- Experience developing design notes, validation reports, test procedures, and engineering documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured engineering approach.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with industrial, utility, energy, smart metering, protection & control, or embedded electronics products.
- Exposure to certification activities such as EMC, environmental, safety, and regulatory compliance testing.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading hardware design activities across global teams.
