Job Overview
The Project Specialist II leads moderately complex projects that generally have been assigned a medium to high corporate priority. Budgets are generally less than $25M and are higher risk.
A Day In The Life
Every day at Hubbell is different and you’ll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you’ll make a difference by:
- Participating in negotiations with internal or external clients.
- Assisting clients in the development of business plans, strategies, and approaches to take advantage of business opportunities.
- Managing vendor relationships as needed including conducting planning sessions with vendors and service providers to define project scope and performance expectations.
- Providing subject matter expertise in areas including project management, setup of local project offices, project scope definition, risk identification, project methodology, resource allocation, facilitation, and other areas of expertise based on professional knowledge and background.
- Making presentations to management on project updates, project cycle, and expected results.
- Ensuring projects are completed on time and in scope.
What will help you thrive in this role?
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- PMI/CPM certification preferred
- Three to five years of relevant experience (required)
- Experience within SAP or other ERP business systems preferred
- Knowledge of business systems and applications, such as Microsoft Project or Project Server
- Knowledge of business processes across all functional areas is preferable with a good working knowledge of how Master Data is critical to effective business process execution
