Job Overview
The Specialist - Test Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test strategies to ensure the delivery of high‑quality products. This role involves close collaboration with development, product, and engineering teams to test/validate embedded products, identify issues early, automate test processes, and drive continuous quality improvements. The Senior Test Engineer will also mentor junior testers and contribute to best practices in QA processes.
A Day In The Life
- Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements and design documents.
- Define and implement overall testing strategies including functional, regression, performance, security, and automation testing.
- Experience in understanding Product Requirements, Marketing Requirements and deriving System Integration Test cases
- Contribute to risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
- Should be highly creative in coming up with out-of-box scenarios for testing and bugs
- Execute manual and automated tests across multiple platforms.
- Identify, analyze, and document defects using tracking tools.
- Track defects through resolution and verify fixes.
- Provide clear test reports, metrics, and dashboards to stakeholders.
- Work closely with developers, product owners, and architects to ensure testability and quality in every stage of development.
- Participate in design and code reviews with a quality-first perspective.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior QA engineers.
- Perform end-to-end system analysis and design of complex systems (hardware, software, communications).
- Help establish and refine QA standards, processes, and documentation.
