Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer to become a part of our rapidly growing company to support design  and  development  of  integrated  mechanical  and  Electrical  systems  for  modular  data centers,  power equipment centers and integrated switchboards. 

We  are  seeking  innovative  and  talented  professionals  having  a  proven  track  record  in  managing multiple concurrent projects, in an independent environment.  Must be able to develop cost effective designs utilizing Solidworks  3D  solid modeling, or  equivalent.   In  addition,  this  position  requires a good working knowledge of electrical equipment  integration  and  mechanical  design  from  both  a structural  standpoint  and  sheet  metal fabrication.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Design and development of large custom-built enclosures and skid-based systems to house  electrical 

  switchgear for modular data centers, power equipment centers and integrated switchboards. 

- Develop integrated electrical and mechanical systems, in compliance with the NEC (National Electric Code) and U. L. requirements.

- Create fluent technical documentation including product specifications, layout instructions etc. 

- Participate in product design review meetings and provide the solution for cost effective design. 

- Work closely with Customer and cross-functional teams and ensure to meet the project deadlines. 

Skills and Experience

Mandatory: 
- 5-7 years’ work experience in a Design engineering field, preferably in Data center system 
  design. 
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical blueprints and specifications. 
- Must be proficient in Solidworks & Autocad and Product Data Management Tools.  
- Design experience of fabricated sheet metal products. 
Desirable: 
- Experience in switchgear or Power supply or HVAC design, Electrical schematic, and Layout 
  systems an added advantage. 
- Design experience as it relates to commercial MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) 
  construction. 
- Knowledge in IP (Ingress Protection) ratings. 
- Good working knowledge of NEC, UL, and ETL for both low and medium voltage applications 
  an added advantage 
- Working Knowledge of ASCE Standards an added advantage 
- Strong interpersonal skills for developing and functioning in a team environment 
- Strong written and verbal communication skills  
- MS Office Software (Word, Excel, Project, etc.)
