Engineer - Mechanical Design

Job Overview

We are looking for a candidate who is strong in Product Design and Development, having knowledge in Autodesk Inventor. Support designated product line in the areas of product development, product line maintenance, production release and Manufacturing support.      
 

A Day In The Life

• Product line maintenance (cost reductions, drawing updates, engineering change requests, testing and interfacing with various departments including operations, manufacturing engineering, sourcing, new product development & quality departments).
• Create Drawings based on ASME Y14.5M – 2009 standards and complete the projects on time ensuring the Quality.
• Maintain and create Autodesk Inventor 2-D and 3-D files needed for Marketing or Manufacturing needs.
• Engineering designs with an 80% emphasis in Mechanical Engineering & 20% in Electrical Engineering.
• Review of customer specifications and requirements for project needs and provide solutions with existing product offering combinations.  For instances where existing product offerings do not exist, part modifications or new products will need to be developed.
• Update applicable reports in timely manner.
• Good Team player - Develop good interaction with team lead and team members.
• Maintain reports and documents per ISO process.

Minimum 3-4 yrs. in Product Design & Development

Should have working knowledge in Autodesk inventor & AutoCAD

Geometric Dimension and Tolerance.

Manufacturing feasibility study

Basic electrical knowledge

Knowledge on Manufacturing Process

Good communication skills, Mathematical Skills, Reasoning Ability.
