Position Overview

 

We are looking for an experienced Embedded Hardware Design Engineer with focus on Microcontroller/Microprocessor based product development, debugging and testing (at board and system level). The engineer will focus on developing, testing, validating, troubleshooting Embedded Hardware products involving Microcontrollers, Wireless Communications, Power Supply.

Duties and Responsibilities

 

●    Complete Hardware Design & Development of NPD.
●    Perform testing, troubleshooting, validation (at board and system level). 
●    Responsible for schematics captures, layout check, BOM creation and debugging and testing.
●    Create fluent technical documentation including product specifications, layout instructions, test procedures, etc;
●    Work closely with firmware, software, and mechanical team to achieve common goals
●    Participate in product design reviews, own hardware issues to provide solutions either in design or at production.
●    Participate in lab development, test automation and productivity improvement initiatives
●    Will be responsible for hardware design, bring up, certification and production release.  
●    Assist in troubleshooting and root cause failure analysis for product enhancement.
●    Work closely with Client and cross-functional teams and ensure to meet the project deadlines.
 

Skills and Experience

 

●    Must have 3-5 years of Embedded HW design experience on Digital, Analog and Mixed signal circuit design.
●    Expertise in Power supply design, battery management, ADCs, memories, buffers, drivers, amplifiers, Micro controller design and different hardware protocols (UART, I2C, SPI etc)
●    Knowledge on Power Electronics will be an added advantage (BJT, MOSFET, IGBT…etc.)
●    Familiarity with communication protocols at hardware level- BLE, Zigbee, Wi-Fi, GPS... etc.
●    Proven track record of working with test lab equipment and simulation tools
●    Hands on Experience in Schematic design, PCB review, Circuit simulation.
●    Design optimization techniques for performance, cost and manufacturability
●    Good understanding of EMI/EMC and their impact on hardware is mandatory
●    Develop design notes for designs and test cases for board bring-up
●    Excellent time management skills, Self-motivated and highly ambitious
●    Must possess strong written and oral communication skills.
●    Must demonstrate consistent (and sustainable) application of problem solving and analytical skills. 
 

Preferred:

●    Experience with Altium, Allegro, Mentor Graphics PADs and CAM350.
●    Exposure to Test and Measurement equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, Logic Analyzer,.
●    Hands on Experience in Simulation tools such as LTSPICE, TINA, PSPICE

Masters Degree in Electronics
