Job Overview

The Associate Engineer works under general supervision; coordinates engineering tasks and communicates with other organizational resources to complete project assignments on new or existing products and/or product lines. The tasks may focus on Operations, Design, or Marketing depending on the needs of the company and the interest of the employee. 

A Day In The Life

Every day at Hubbell is different and you’ll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you’ll make a difference by: 

Reporting to various Business Unit management, such as the Marketing Manager or Applications Lead.  

Performing a variety of tasks under general supervision. 

For an operations route, participating or leading Kaizen events, designing cell layouts, creating work instructions, evaluating equipment effectiveness, fabricating fixtures, creating capital expenditure requests, designing, testing, or evaluating products, conducting time studies, and supervising a manufacturing team. 

For a marketing route, participating in marketing program design, product marketing, customer support, sales support, pricing, new product development, product installations, and product return evaluations. 
 

What will help you thrive in this role?

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (required) 

Experience with MS Office - Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint (required) 

Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail 

Effective communication and teamwork abilities 

Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks for different departments 

Flexibility to change job scope multiple times 

Ability to present to an audience
