Hubbell Engineering located in Ascendas, ITPL,Chennai, is engaged in the business of computer aided design and engineering services. The Hubbell Business Solutions functions at Infopark Kochi, provide superior business intelligence, knowledge services and business process solutions across Hubbell divisions and Corporate.  IT Services team is spread across Chennai and Kochi.

Job Overview

As a member of our Engineering Team, he should be creative, dynamic and result oriented candidate who will help create drawing packages for the utility customers. As a CAD Technician he will modify CAD files to incorporate engineering changes. He will be overseeing managing of all project drawing files and modifying CAD files to incorporate engineering changes.

A Day In The Life

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Draft electrical schematics and wiring diagrams using various platforms including AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical
• Create cover sheets using various platforms including AutoCAD
• Create and maintain drawing lists
• Produce and maintain high quality drawings and drafting, exhibiting strict attention to detail
• submit CAD files and associated documents to/from client servers
• Plot, scan and create pdfs of documents/drawings to support project team
• Plot drawing sets and create shipping labels for customer sets
• Assist in training and mentoring junior level CAD Technicians
• Follow client procedures and standards regarding drawing modifications

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

• Associates Degree in Drafting/Engineering or higher
• Experience in Electrical or Construction fields

• Working knowledge of MS office suite
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Strong math skills
• Strong communications skills
• Highly motivated to learn new skills
• High attention to detail and quality review
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while still hitting milestone dates
