Position Overview
Hubbell is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the Manufacturing Leadership Team. This role will perform general administrative tasks as needed to help facilitate the administrative functions of Manufacturing. The incumbent will participate in Safety Committee and support with Safety Initiatives throughout the facility. This position reports to the Plant Manager and works closely with Human Resources Team as well as support Manufacturing Supervisors with all administrative tasks. ADP Experience Microsoft Experience is preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in Safety Committee
- Supports safety initiatives throughout the facility
- Assists with managing production inventory and supplies for all manufacturing supervisors.
- Perform weekly walks on production floor and report feedback to production management.
- Provide administrative support as necessary to general management. This may include but is not limited to printing paperwork, copying, typing, filing, report creating, report preparation, project assistance, etc.
- Responsible for completing daily tasks for general management related to production data management.
- Responsible for completing daily and periodic tasks for general management and filling in with additional support as needed.
- Work closely with HR on ensuring consistent approach with enforcing policies through supervisors.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, work in a fast paced environment with repetitive motion, clutch, lift, grab, bend, stoop, push and pull with no difficulties, be on feet during work shift, and clearly communicate issues.
Skills and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Fluent in English & Spanish.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Prior manufacturing and/ or Safety experience preferred.
- Skilled in presenting information or ideas concisely, accurately, and clearly verbally and in writing, in English and Spanish.
- Great communication skills with a focus on listening and influencing.
- Ability to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events and reacts well under pressure.
- Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Outlook email/calendar.
- Highly organized and ability to maintain employee confidentiality.
