Position Overview
The Recruiting Specialist supports the HR Department and the facility management team with full cycle recruitment, benefits, employee relations, and payroll assistance for multiple business units. This position is essential in supporting the business by collaborating with the management team to reach goals and objectives of the company.
Primary responsibility of this role will be for hourly staffing and retention and to take the staffing function of the department to the next level.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Administers recruitment process to all recruiting efforts, interviewing, applicant skills testing, salary recommendations, offer letters, coordinating pre-employment background checks, drug screens, new hire paperwork, e-verify, and on-barding of all new employees.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state and national employment laws
- Conduct HR Presentations that include but not limited to: new employee orientation, communication meetings, and other employee training classes.
- Administer group insurance programs (health, dental, sickness, accident, and disability)
- Responsible for maintaining, setting, and participating in interviews for all hourly open positions.
- Responsible for completing the weekly report and presentation for hourly staffing/turnover/retention.
- Supports department and company-wide special projects.
- Ensures that all written documentation used in relation to human resources is in compliance with Company objectives, laws, and regulations.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor Degree strongly preferred but may not be required.
- Minimum 2 years of Recruiting/HR experience, preferrably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and challenging environment, self-motivated, problem solver, good time management skills and prioritize duties.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- HRIS and/or ATS experience a plus.
