Job Overview

The Production Planner will be responsible for the scheduling of products to exceed customer requirements as well as releasing purchase orders for assigned materials (Raw, WIP, Sub Contract and FG). You can expect to drive topnotch customer on-time deliver and demonstrated lead time all while mainting ideal inventory levels.

A Day In The Life

  • Release purchase requisitions and/or purchase orders to Buyers and suppliers.
  • Work with Quality, Operations, and suppliers to resolve quality concerns.
  • Release customer orders to achieve expected delivery performance.
  • Manage customer returned goods (RGA) using the RGA procedure.
  • Maintain current promise dates on customer orders.
  • Manage inventory levels for assigned product.
  • Schedule work through the shop floor.
  • Expedite parts within and outside the Company.
  • Prioritize work orders and coordinate with Operations to exceed customer requirements.
  • Interact with customer service.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Ability to travel on business related trips; ability to move to various locations within the Company; ability to communicate; ability to work on a personal computer or other related equipment as required
  • 4-year degree in Business or related field, preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
  • SAP experience strongly preferred
  • 3-5 years of previous manufacturing/production environment experience required
  • Previous experience in Planning focused position is strongly preferred.
