Division Overview
Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Position Overview

Plan, organize, and direct the sales and marketing efforts for the Civil Construction product line. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for the Civil sales and marketing budget
  • Develop and execute strategic national marketing and sales plan
  • Lead and motivate field sales and marketing employees
  • Define pricing and gross profit strategies for the Civil product line
  • Develop monthly sales forecast based on feedback from sales, marketing and customers.
  • Define the Civil market, develop understanding of the competition, and develop a strategy for share growth
  • Lead the development of distributor partner marketing programs to enhance Civil’s channel position
  • Plan, implement, and participate, as required, in industry functions
  • Participate in development of annual Business and Strategic Plans
  • Ensure regional marketing objectives are supporting the overall strategy of the Civil product line.
  • Maintain relationships with key customers and distributors to further enhance Civil’s position with key accounts.
  • Identify and develop long term Civil market strategy based on identified trends and technology.  
  • Generates new product ideas and develop business plans to justify development efforts.

Skills and Experience

  • BS degree in engineering or business
  • Experience in strategic planning
  • Previous Marketing &/or Sales management experience
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel

Education

Bachelors Degree in Engineering General or Business
