Division Overview
Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Position Overview

Administrative support and technical documentation to Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.  Interacts frequently with Production, Customer Service, and Technical Services.

Duties and Responsibilities

Establishes and maintains a variety of records requiring knowledge of Continental Industries product divisions.
Abstracts, compiles, and summarizes data and prepares periodic graphs, charts, and special reports as requested.  Works with Hubbell India to prepare analysis of data as required.
Handles and processes a variety of confidential data: IE design documentation, test reports, cost information.
Prepares Production Drawings as required.
Prepares and processes engineering change notifications.
Reviews customer and production drawings.
Checks forms, reports, and other source data for accuracy and completion and adherence to Hubbell company policy.  Traces and corrects errors and discrepancies and refers unusual situations to the Product Manager and/or responsible Engineer. 
Establishes and maintains files, classifying, sorting and filing material, manually and/or electronic.
Places and receives telephone calls from Customer Service, Field Sales, Marketing and Technical Services to obtain or provide data, reports or other specific information as required.
Responds to customer service requests by providing general distribution documentation (sales drawings, test documents, SDS documents, industry standards) in a timely manner.
Places purchase requisition requests upon request in SAP.
Maintains the LMS (Label Maintenance System) on SAP.
Manages Requested Documentation Responsibilities document/distribution.
Manages Iron Mountain log/files in Distribution Center.
Assists other personnel in the use of PDM (Product Data Maintenance) system.
Agile, SAP, UL/CSA/ETL databases, Adobe, SharePoint
 

Skills and Experience

Professional or Technical Degree preferred.
1-3 years of related experience and/or training. 
Stong Customer Service skills. This role should maintain customer focus throughout all their interactions with internal and external customers.
Experience with Autodesk Products (AutoCAD and/or Inventor)
Experience with SAP
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communications skills.
Computer Skills: Must have strong Microsoft Office, e-mail and other PC application skills.
Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
