Position Overview

Primary leading & coordinating manufacturing processes development for new projects and maximizing productivity, safety, quality and efficiency for existing & new products. Some daily responsibilities include diverse tasks like coordinating with engineering, manufacturing, sales, production, supply chain, quality and other teams to identify and assist with equipment needs, tooling, maintenance, technical issues and work standards.  Self-motivated & accountable for coming up with initiatives, programs implementations and for making recommendations in order to increase productivity, quality, profitability, and improving the efficiency of operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify, justify and implement cost-cutting and quality improvement activities by using new and/or improved technologies, automation, and lean practices. 
  • Develop manufacturing process for new projects, including identification and procurement of needed equipment. 
  • Type letters, memos, and test reports. 
  • File correspondence and other records according to the company file plans.  
  • Must be able to read and comprehend complex instructions, test reports, correspondence, and memos. 
  • Effectively present information and work with managers, individual salespeople, customers, and factory floor/support personnel. 
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 
  • Ability to calculate areas, perimeters, and volume. 
  • Ability to work with 3D coordinates.

Skills and Experience

 

5 years progressive engineering experience in a manufacturing or related work environment.

Advanced education and/or professional certification preferred but not required. 

Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Strong written and oral communication skills. 

Experience in SAP a plus.

Knowledge of Injection Mold Machines and Tooling a plus. 

 

Education

Bachelors Degree in Engineering General or Mechanical Engineering
