Position Overview

Scrum Master/Software Project Manager

Hubbell is seeking a Scrum Master/Software Project Manager to join our progressive and dynamic fast-paced Hubbell Control Solutions engineering team.  These are exciting times - our industry and user expectations are changing and so are we! We are developing the next generation of world class Internet of Things (IoT) connected lighting controls and applications. This is a scrum master (software project management) role that will lead  development and expansion projects of our cutting-edge cloud connected IoT enterprise applications and offerings with the latest software technologies and tools.  You will be part of our fast-growing innovative technology design center located in Round Rock, TX, a hi-tech hub north of Austin.

We are looking for a talented and creative problem solver. You will be involved in the complete software development life cycle, seeing team’s work evolve from epics and user stories into a finished product in a hybrid agile environment. This will require a high degree of collaboration between highly-talented, cross-functional and geographically-dispersed development teams. You will work closely with industry-best cross functional team including product owners, UX designers and development team members to understand the business needs and execute end-to-end product solutions.

Essential Functions
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to drive enterprise and mobile application projects definition, epics, user stories, tasks, estimates, implementation, integration and release activities.
  • Work with the cross functional teams to define, assess and mitigate risks that impact on project cost, schedule, quality, and technology
  • Coordinate and participate in long term grooming, sprint planning, daily-standup, sprint reviews, sprint retrospective and design meetings
  • Responsible for organizing, facilitating, executing, and reporting engineering projects status, burn down and Gantt chart
  • Responsible for delivering projects within scope, time and budget
  • Track and follow up project issues, roadblocks, action items and ensure timely resolution
  • Align Agile development process with Hubbell’s New Product Development Process
Skills and Experience / Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing software development and web-based application projects
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Agile and/or Waterfall project management methodologies
  • Minimum 3 years of hands of experience with agile and project management tools like Microsoft project, Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.  
  • Minimum 3 years of experience of working with third party partners and offshore teams
