Position Overview

Operates assembly machines such as tape machines, bag sealer and other hand powered equipment in the assembly of kits. Additionally, is responsible for setting up jobs for the Assembler I & completing all material handling required.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Pushes buttons, interrupts electrical eyes and/or depresses pedal to activate machine.
  • Verifies safety equipment on machine and/or equipment is functional before starting the job.
  • Works from operation sheets, prints, written work instructions and/or verbal instructions as necessary.
  • Measures work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operations.
  • Assembles and/or sorts work pieces.
  • Reports job operations/activities in SAP
  • Is responsible for the quality of product produced from operations they perform.
  • Cleans work station as required at end of job assignment or shift.
  • Sets up jobs for the Assembler I employees.
  • Does all material handling for the area.
  • Gathers all components from other facilities and organizes them to their respective job#.
  • Gathers all components from within the DC and organizes them to their respective job#.
  • Prioritizes jobs to the Supervisors instructions.
  • Will be required to occasionally use fork/lift trucks.
  • Will keep an accurate count of items in inventory per the Supervisors instructions.
  • Performs other related work as required.

Skills and Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Eight to Twelve months related experience.
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
