Job Overview
The role of the Warehouse Associate VI – Receiving Clerk Lead is responsible for the management of Inbound deliveries (direct and indirect purchases) entering the facility. The receiving clerk’s lead will work closely with buyer, receiving clerk, and intercompany plan contacts to resolve any open deliveries by utilizing Discrepancy Log process. This role is responsible for ensuring all internal compliance requirements are complete for incoming shipments such as document repository and End of Quarter checklist.
A Day In The Life
- Follow all safety, company, and 6S standards in the distribution center to ensure a clean and safe working environment to ensure the safety and security of all employees.
- Identify aging inbound deliveries by reviewing SAP In transit Report daily. If the issue is identified, identify root cause of issue and correct.
- Working with Receiving Clerk and Buyer, identify root cause and correct overages / shortages on all inbound delivery.
- Management of Trailer Yard including storage trailers.
- Following and managing Hubbell’s document retention policy as it applies to inbound documentations (packing slip, BOL, etc.) .
- Prioritize tasks along with supervisors/leads to ensure inbound shipments are complete in the proper priority and order.
- Daily management and maintenance of inbound error log.
- Monitor and respond to email and phone calls in a timely manner.
- Perform miscellaneous activities as directed by your manager to efficiently support the warehouse operation.
What will help you thrive in this role?
- Five (5) years’ experience in a high-volume warehouse environment required.
- Three (3) years’ experience in Receiving Clerk role required
- Strong working knowledge of SAP.
- Strong data entry and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Willingness to embrace Hubbell Values and Behaviors.
- Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating in projects as needed.
