Job Overview

The Distribution Center (DC) Systems Analyst is responsible for planning, managing, and executing the activities associated with detailed analysis and redesigning of Distribution Center business processes. These activities are performed by the DC Systems Analyst as a key team member within DC Operations. These activities are primarily the identification and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities that are enabled by SAP EWM and/or Blue Yonder functionality and related bolt-on applications. Under the direction of the Continuous Improvement Manager, the DC Systems Analyst will also participate in the planning and managing of the continuous improvement opportunities that relate to SAP ERP releases, all DC non-SAP software applications, and software upgrades.

A Day In The Life

  • Site Leader in configuration changes for applications related to Warehouse Management system (WMS).
  • Create test scripts and perform testing for Warehouse Management system (WMS) with new processes within distribution.
  • Resolve issues by providing first level support for WMS maintenance (wave errors, manifest errors, load closing errors, etc.) and for handheld devices and printers; escalate unresolved issues to information technology.
  • Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers / project team.
  • Draft spec documents and flowcharts for system configuration based on business needs/processes.
  • Create business intelligence reporting from SAP and WMS to maintain healthy systems.
  • Resolve inventory and delivery sync issues by working with local inventory team.
  • Liaison with key users at other Hubbell sites to ensure consistent configuration and application across the network, as well as liaison with cross-functional and external parties related to warehouse systems projects. 
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to system users. 

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology or a related field
  • 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Ability to understand and retain database/table/configuration relationships and dependencies.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and outstanding end-user interaction to work with the various Business Units and external customers to effectively meet business needs
  • High Proficency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and SAP
