Job Overview
The role of the Business Development Manager, Mining - USA is to grow the Austdac range of products from Australia for the growth of our company. There is considerable potential to increase our market share in the USA with both new and into existing customer accounts. This growth will come from both Geographical expansion and from developing our sales in both new and existing markets. The position will involve a high degree of travel, interacting with both customers directly and EPC’s. The role is suited for a confident, organized sales professional keen to grow our sales revenue and profitability.

A Day In The Life
- Identify and connect to our current customers the Austdac product suite
- Identify new customer projects to connect our product range with for sales revenue
- Develop and maintain a Sales Pipeline utilizing Salesforce to be updated daily of future business
- Connect with EPC’s and sites directly for Projects and Country specific product range
- Manage the full sales cycle from introduction to proposal through to closing the opportunity
- Work with Australia for coordinating quoting, pricing and customer communications
- Sell the new and certified product development into customers using a solutions approach
- Learn systematically during your onboarding program the Austdac Mining suite, the key IP Hubbus/ Silbus Conveyor monitoring systems. Gas product range, PPE range, Communications range
- Provide internal feedback about competitors’ products and their activities
- Advise any cross-marketing opportunities for Key customers
- Develop a journey plan to attend onsite customer meetings with the Mines
- Develop relationships and Visit onsite Top 50 customers in the geographical area
- Attend industry functions, such as Expo’s (Local Mining expos and MINEXpo)
- Closely liaise with Director of Australia and experienced Mining peers in the USA.
- Visit Australia (as required) to be trained and developed on new products
- Complete all company required Training on or ahead of time

Required Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in electrical or electronic field
- Ideally knows the customer base for Mining in the USA
- 10 years of related experience with selling aspects as well
- Ability to travel as needed
