Job Overview

The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for providing the organization with the necessary and competent human resources to carry out operations. This position involves recruitment and selection as well as analysis and review of the causes of turnover to properly address them and maintain the appropriate headcount.      

A Day In The Life

  • Every day at Hubbell is different and you’ll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you’ll make a difference by: 
  • Lead recruiting efforts to fill vacant positions, through job offers, review of applications/resumes and coordination of the interview process with hiring managers.
  • Prepare onboarding materials, coordinate pre-employment assessments, and assist with orientation activities.
  • Conduct stay interviews and promote our culture of inclusion.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
  • Assist leaders/managers with employee retention strategies.
  • Organize employee engagement activities and various events.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or Management is preferred 
  • 1-2 years HR experience (required)  
  • Excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint (required) 
  • Proven time management skills: ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks effectively  
  • Exceptional judgment and common sense, demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and be creative in developing employee-centric solutions  
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. 
  • Results-oriented with a track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment   
  • Process improvement and data analytical skills preferred
