Job Overview
This position will work in the Powerohm division of Hubbell, producing power resistors and related resistor systems. The Order Engineer will work in a team responsible for taking high level design detail and developing detailed production drawings and bills of material. In addition, the Order Engineer will work closely with the Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Purchasing and Sales personnel to ensure production orders are produced correctly and on time.
A Day In The Life
- Convert high level design detail to detailed production drawings and bills of materials for manufacturing utilization
- Create production drawings in AutoCAD® and AutoCAD® Inventor
- Create Bills of Material & Routings for products within SAP
- Interface directly with manufacturing team to resolve production issues
- Lead testing of Powerohm product for cost reduction opportunities and NPD development
- Review and update drawings and BOM’s for Powerohm ETO products before production release
What will help you thrive in this role?
- Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base with unique Engineered to Order (ETO) products
- Proficient with AutoCAD® software and AutoCAD® Inventor
- Fluent with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Able to generate/read/interpret schematics and mechanical drawings
- Education: BS in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Technology.
- 2+ years related work experience
- Fluent in Spanish and English
Additional Desired Skills:
- Experience with motor controllers/drives or industrial controls
