A Day In The Life

Every day at Hubbell is different and you’ll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you’ll make a difference by:

  • Coordinating schedules and workflow for the team who repairs equipment and conducts preventative maintenance activities throughout the facility.
  • Supervising day-to-day work of maintenance employees.
  • Leading Maintenance personnel in reactive, predictive & preventative maintenance and machine repair.
  • Managing vendor relationships for trash removal, grounds, power, janitorial, water/sewer, HVAC, and other related contracts as needed.
  • Ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Developing and maintaining Key Performance Indicators for tracking and reporting on the performance of the maintenance department.
  • Actively participating in lean and continuous improvement activities related to the facility including utilization of predictive, preventive, and condition-based maintenance methodologies.
  • Managing inventory of spare parts, supplies and materials required for effective maintenance and improvement of the facility, equipment, and tooling.
  • Participating in planning meetings, coordinating training, personnel, and equipment requirements.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant manufacturing experience (required)
  • 5+ years of leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience managing outside service contractors.
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant software systems (Office programs, SAP CMMS).
