Job Overview

Responsible for new product design and development, existing product line maintenance, product testing, developing customer solutions pertaining to the Utility markets (Communications, Power, Cable TV, OEM) to grow the sales and profitability

A Day In The Life

  • Oversight over existing and new product designs and development to include R&D, concept generation / evaluation, costing, manufacturing process, material selection.
  • Product line maintenance (cost reductions, drawing updates, engineering change requests and interfacing with various departments including Manufacturing, Mfg. Engineering & QA Departments).
  • Product line variations (design, test & document product variations needed for specific customer demands).
  • Supports with mechanical and/or electrical testing needs to qualify or validate product performance.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • 0-1 years Manufacturing experience
  • CAD experience, with the ability to build/ review/ revise 3D models and drawings.
  • Knowledge of metal and plastic manufacturing processes.
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skill, orally and in writing.

 

Education

Bachelors Degree in Engineering General or related Mechanical Engineering experience

 

LEVEL OF DECISION MAKING:

  • Rationalization of product line addition needs associated with customer specifications
