Division Overview
Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Position Overview

The FP&A Manager is responsible for all areas related to financial planning and analysis for the Group. The Manager is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate completion of all department results. This position leads two financial analysts and reports to the Director of Finance.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drive month-end close, forecasting and annual planning process
  • Complete departmental budgets for the Group.
  • Consolidate financial results and forecast for an operating group composed of multiple global business units
  • Coordinate completion of monthly and quarterly financial reports
  • Implement and work with SAP and HFM consolidated reporting systems
  • Develop financial models and analyses to support critical initiatives
  • Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes
  • Prepare presentations for Board of Directors and Senior Management Team
  • Coordinate and lead the continued development of Budgeting, Forecasting, Operating Plan and Modeling tools
  • Ad-Hoc reporting and analysis
  • Guide professional development of direct reports

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA or CPA preferred
  • 5+ years financial planning and analysis experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Strong leadership skills required
  • SAP/HFM experience preferred
  • Sophisticated Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
  • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
  • Proven ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity
