Position Overview

The National Account Manager will be primarily responsible for increasing the sales of RACO, TayMac, Bell, and Wiegmann products through big box home improvement and retail accounts. Responsibilities will include engaging with the retailer merchandising teams to define and implement sales growth plans. Elements of these plans will include managing day-to-day sales activities, participation in Product Line Reviews, participation in channel targeted product development efforts, customer product promotions, and will assist in the development and execution of eCommerce marketing strategies. Responsible for oversight and management of all customer compliance metrics, product forecasting, inventory planning, and internal reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Achieve revenue and cost management goals for the business.
  • Led a sales support agency nationwide to support the goals and objectives of the business.
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional partners to manage all aspects of the business, including channel strategy, product line reviews, promotional planning, product road mapping/differentiation, data analytics, profitability analysis, marketing/commercialization, and demand planning.
  • Track and evaluate end-user behavior; make recommendations to improve in-store and online merchandising of supplied products. Perform regular market pricing reviews and analyses.
  • Create short and long-term strategies to grow current business, obtain new business opportunities and successfully penetrate under-performing segments.
  • Understand customer service performance metrics and processes while helping manage internal strategies to achieve consistently.
  • Develop and sustain positive relationships across the functional area of the retail organizations.
  • Help manage eCommerce strategy to support omnichannel sales growth.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or a minimum of ten years related sales experience commercial construction industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of success
  • Consumer Product Good (CPG) and/or Online Retail Marketing experience is favored but not required.
  • Ability to analyze customer point of sales (POS) and external data to understand trends and make recommendations for market growth.
  • Communication skills with the ability to effectively write reports, business correspondence, and business plans. Ability to persuasively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team in an environment with multiple projects, tight deadlines, and changing priorities and show ongoing entrepreneurial initiative.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Travel required: 30% or greater.
