Job Overview

The Vice President of Planning, Inventory and Delivery will be responsible for advancing the planning, inventory and SIOP processes. The strategic leader works with the Segment materials management organization to effectively drive and implement world class processes, standard work, master data integration and tools to improve our customer fulfillment, develop capability of the planning and SIOP personnel, and improve inventory performance. This role reports directly to the Global Operations President. 

A Day In The Life

  • Collaborate with the Business Units and partner across functions (Sales, Operations, Product Management, IT) to build a case for change and design a roadmap to advance maturity in the sales, inventory and operations planning process (SIOP).
  • Implement best practices and digital tools with leading indicators in planning (sales and operations planning, demand and supply balancing, production planning, MRP and production scheduling) and inventory processes to achieve top quartile on-time and inventory performance.
  • Oversee definition of overall Master Data and system strategy in close sync with business, ensuring integrity and compliance with regulatory, quality and customer needs
  • Mentor and build capability of the planning and inventory leaders at the segments and the plants through maturing the planning and inventory health leading indicators.
  • Oversee coordination and execution of supply risk and bottleneck management, fostering alignment between suppliers, sites and customers. 

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Proven 15 plus years of experience designing, developing, and leading consensus SIOP implementation at a Business Unit or enterprise level in a diversified industrial environment.
  • History of success standardizing & integrating SIOP across multi-business environments.
  • Demonstrable deep knowledge of Supply Chain Strategy, Portfolio Management, Demand Planning, product transitions and SIOP reconciliations.
  • Experience implementing an Integrated Planning System of Record like Kinaxis Rapid Response, o9, SAP-IBP.
  • In-depth knowledge of integrated information systems (manufacturing, materials management, production planning, procurement, and distribution). Knowledge of SAP is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated experience coaching and influencing senior leaders toward a quantifiable and sustainable outcome.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work with individuals across all levels of the organization.
  • Highly organized, strong ability to prioritize and multi-task and get things done.
  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field. Master’s preferred.
  • APICS CPIM, CSCP or CTSC.
