Job Overview
The Managed Services Transition and Delivery lead is responsible for the day-to-day responsibilities of transitioning services to Hubbell’s selected Managed Services partner delivering application and infrastructure services. This role ensures that Hubbell’s business and technical requirements are understood and met by our Managed Services service provider. This individual will work closely with our partner’s Managed Services transition manager and Hubbell’s I.T. managers and I.T. personnel to effectively transition operational run support services to our Managed Services partner.
This role will work with a broad set of stakeholders across I.T. All operational support of our class Tier 1 and 2 applications and supporting infrastructure will transition to Managed Services.
A Day In The Life
• Serves as the interface between I.T. functional and technical teams and Managed Services teams.
• Monitor and facilitate the functional and technical knowledge transfer to the Managed Services provider.
• Communicate requirements as needed to business area management and end user communities who depend upon services supplied by Managed Services.
• In conjunction with our Managed Services provider develop and implement a communication plan providing the technical, procedural, and cultural change during service transition.
• Collaborate and work in conjunction with Hubbell I.T. and Managed Services Provider teams to define changes in project plan, requirements, dependencies, resources assignment/availability, roles and responsibilities, and project objectives.
• Jointly manage the transition of services in conjunction with our Managed Services partner.
• Attend regular transition meetings according to schedule.
• Define and maintain processes to transition change and impact created by project team work to operational support by Managed Services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, establish, and implement best practice, process, and policies for effective Managed Services delivery.
• Lead planning of transitions from Project to Managed Services operations by working in collaboration with Managed Services provider and development teams.
• Support the improvement of Managed Services governance and standardization of process and reporting.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience I.T. application support function
• Experience working with I.T. teams and business personnel.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
