Job Overview

Responsible for the design, development and implementation of business solutions that support Hubbell Electrical Products reporting needs including compensation systems, sales quotas, budgets, and commissions. Strategically analyze sales data to improve sales efficiencies, profit margins, and market share utilizing Power BI and evolving reporting applications. This position reports to the Manager of Reporting and Analysis with a working relationship with Director of Marketing Operations, Directors of Product Marketing, VP Product Development, and Hubbell Enterprise Marketing personnel.

A Day In The Life

 

Data Management & Reporting

  • Ability to create data driven solutions using SQL Server and various business intelligence tools including Power BI
  • Design and maintain ETL processes by gathering detailed requirements and coordinating the implementation and rollout and support of relevant systems
  • Coordinate monthly point-of-sale (POS) data collection from channel partners including data manipulation and expansion of data collections and management.
  • Identify and diagnose data quality issues; provide recommendations on solutions and manage resolution

Sales & Commission Reporting

  • Responsible for quarterly and monthly commission reporting involving all personnel records pertaining to salaries/commission rates, calculations, adjustments, and maintenance of data sets in support of direct sales force and sales agents.
  • Manage multi-tiered processing efforts with other team members and ensure deadline compliance.
  • Maintain current reporting structure and sales reports in SQL/SSAS and Crystal Reports and work towards converting to a Power BI data model.

Sales Analysis

  • Develop customer reports that identify areas of business opportunity including price realization, product mix, and market share
  • Create and communicate business unit performance and insights in areas including sales quotas, pre-sale pipeline and forecasting, trending, markets and end-users
  • Support ad hoc requests and proactively create reporting tools and business process automations to improve sales organizations efficiency.
  • Support field sales personnel via demonstrations and training on reporting application as applicable.

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
  • Minimum three years’ experience working with SQL development, proficient in

CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) operations

  • Microsoft Power Platform experience –Power BI (DAX, Power Query (M))
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint & Power BI Workspaces
  • Strong communication skills, problem solving capabilities, and analytical skills
  • Understanding of data modeling and optimization techniques and best practices
  • Previous SAP and Salesforce.com experience a plus
