Job Overview

Responsibilities

• Production Planning and Scheduling: They develop production plans to meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization. This involves coordinating with various departments to ensure raw materials, equipment, and labor are available when needed.

• Quality Control: They establish and enforce quality standards, implement quality control processes, and oversee inspections to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations and industry regulations.

• Resource Management: They manage human resources, including hiring, training, and supervising production staff. They also handle the procurement and maintenance of equipment and machinery.

• Cost Management: They monitor and control production costs, identify areas for cost reduction, and manage the budget for the manufacturing department.

• Process Improvement: They continuously look for ways to improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.

Skills

• Technical Knowledge: A deep understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technology is essential.

• Leadership and Management: They must be able to lead and motivate teams, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
