Job Overview

Responsible for the sales of all HES products and services (sold by Hubbell Canada) to large electrical and design/build
contractors and end users within assigned region. Collection of market intelligence to achieve successful ongoing
specifications will include liaison strategy with other Hubbell Canada sales and marketing teams.
Responsibilities include:

  • Development of strong relationships to secure loyalty and product preference for Hubbell products
  • Closure of large projects in collaboration with Strategic Development and Regional Sales team
  • Utilizing Sales Tools (Salesforce) to record, monitor and report on large contractors, projects, or opportunities.

  • Develop and Maintain Relationships
    • Develop a strong network of contractors, developers, end users, specifiers and distribution
  • Grow Sales
    • Close contract business
    • Write & document specifications for all HES products
    • Manage sales cycle on projects, from specification to successful order placement
    • Execute promotional training
    • Understand market segment & vertical opportunities
    • Support price realization in the marketplace
    • Collaborate with other Hubbell sales & marketing teams to expand sales
  • Be a resource to our Customers
    • Learn the competitive advantage of our products and leverage to win business
    • Understand our competitive strengths and weaknesses
    • Provide market intelligence
  • Represent Hubbell Canada Professionally
  • Metrics and Reporting

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university (Business, Technical Discipline).
  • Minimum five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Valid Driver’s license required
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Must have strong Microsoft Office, e-mail and other PC application skills, Sales Force.
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops
  • alternative solutions.
  • Works well in group problem solving situations.
