Position Overview

As the successful candidate you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of General Ledger system (SAP) including but not limited to maintenance and reconciliation of bank accounts, intercompany and assigned balance sheet and profit and loss accounts, fix revaluation, and posting of journal entries and accruals.  Coordinating and updating fixed assets by keeping proper record on all information for additions, disposals, and depreciation.  Maintaining Concur expense reporting system for all Hubbell employees.  Preparing tax payments and coordinates with tax authorities and tax consultants when needed.  Preparing forecast for capital expenditures.  Ensuring compliance to both internal policies and procedures, SOX controls and local and US GAAP.  Assisting with other accounting duties, projects and other analysis when required.

You require a degree of independence, organization, and pro-activeness to ensure Finance functions are operating as desired.  Communication with internal and external groups is required to ensure appropriate documentation and authorizations and resolve issues, if any.

Duties and Responsibilities

In addition to items noted in the Position Overview:

  1. Works and coordinates with offshore financial services such as One Hubbell Finance and EXL to matters related to accounting and reconciliation of cash, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and other accounts. 
  2. Prepares and maintains analysis for volume rebates, commissions, and other assigned accounts.
  3. Prepares reconciliation and completes tasks in Blackline.
  4. Prepares capital expenditures forecast and explain variances against actual.
  5. Provides other accounting support, projects and other analysis as required. 

Skills and Experience

  • Enrolled in CPA program and a minimum of 4 years related business experience.
  • University or college graduate (Business, Finance).
  • Advanced knowledge of excel, MS office applications and ERP systems.
  • Experience in SAP and Hyperion Financial Management/OneStream would be an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Tax experience is preferred.
  • Reporting accuracy
  • Demonstrates initiative in improvement activities.
