Position Overview

The Hubbell Enterprise Marketing (HEM) HES Project Manager works with the HES Account Manager, as well as, the HEM Creative, Digital and Communications teams to define client success criteria, set priorities, ensure that project milestones and budget expectations are met, and determine team member project deliverables across departments.  The Project Manager is expected to manage projects by delegating tasks to team members and serving as the interface between the HEM teams and Account Manager, making communication, organizational skills, leadership and the ability to work across functions is especially important.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct meetings to determine the client needs, scope of a project, deliverables, success criteria, key metrics and project expectations such as the channel for receiving client feedback on deliverables
  • Develop an initial project plan and timeline to ensure that team members understand expectations
  • Take an active role in capacity planning based on incoming volume of project requests and deadlines
  • Oversee schedules and timely completion of deliverables from each team member
  • Identify areas and skills needed by HEM and HES team members to ensure that project milestones and deliverables are completed per specification
  • Manage marketing projects from beginning to end according to the project schedule and within budget
  • Ensure clients and management are satisfied with project results/campaigns
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the company, its products, and client base to implement effective marketing campaigns as well as other initiatives
  • Seek ways to improve processes and reduce costs while delivering a high level of client satisfaction and retention
  • Measure status of all projects in the segment queue and report project health and on-time performance of segment projects on a routine basis
  • Proactively communicate project status and appropriately flag and mitigate project issues and risks

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Marketing, or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of project management experience
  • Proven experience with project management software and best practices
  • Familiarity with corporate marketing functions and programs
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to successfully lead cross functional teams
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure, multi-task, and learn the business quickly
  • Comfort with accountability and ability to navigate ambiguity and manage competing priorities.
  • Solid time management skills a must
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization


Bachelors Degree in Business or Marketing
