Division Overview
Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Position Overview

Perform necessary tasks to produce epoxy molded parts

Position is a 60 day Temp to Perm

Hours 5:30am - 3:30pm  Mon- Thurs (some Friday OT may be required)

Duties and Responsibilities

Major Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare production materials.
  • Operate molding presses.
  • Verify accuracy and quality of parts produced.
  • Achieve production goals.
  • Legibly and accurately complete production documentation.
  • Identify and help resolve issues impacting safety, productivity, or quality.
  • Maintain clean and organized work area with emphasis on safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Uphold work and housekeeping standards.
  • Adhere to all company policies and operational procedures.
  • Material handling as needed.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Skills and Experience

 Required Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings of molds and products.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel within operation.
  • Ability to read, sort, check, count, and verify numbers.
  • Ability to perfrom simple arithmatic.
  • Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
  • SAP Experience is a plus.
  • Reading, Math, and communication skills equivalent to a high school education and one or more years of related experience, or equivalent.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential fuction of the job.

Physical Requirements

  • Employees are regularly required to stand or sit for long periods of time; use hands and fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and fingers, handle, or feel; reach with handsand arms; walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and /or move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. The employee must be able to use basic hand tools and apply appropriate manual force to secure molds.

Training and Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or comparable on the job training.
  • Able to safely operate hand held and stationary power tools.
