Position Overview

Receives, stores, and distributes materials and products within the facility by performing, but not limited to, the following duties.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

** MUST BE MOTIVATED AND A SELF-STARTER, ABLE TO WORK UNDER LIMITED SUPERVISION.**

Works collaboratively with all members of the Warehouse team to improve safety, resolve discrepancies, and maintain a high service level to Manufacturing.

Operates powered industrial truck (forklift, pallet lift, etc.) safely to transport inventory.

Reads pick list, looks up inventory locations, stages material, picks components and delivers material to Manufacturing.

Understands & follows Work Instructions and Kan-Ban system.

Unloads van trailers & flatbed trucks.

Verifies pack lists against material receipts and notes discrepancies.

Puts away material.

Records location & amount of materials received and distributed.

Operates scales and weigh-counts material.

Operates cardboard compactor.

Processes scrap barrels and creates scrap tickets.

Performs water-spider re-supply of point-of-use inventory on the plant floor.

Assists with direct shipping when required.

Uses SAP as required.

Reads & responds to email as required.

Responds positively to priority changes during the shift.

Performs additional duties as required.

  • EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS:
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
  • REASONING ABILITY:
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but involved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Must possess valid license and form license.
