Division Overview
Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Position Overview

 

Performs functions to schedule foundry operations and analyzes new orders to plan, prepare, and publish a master schedule to ensure timely order shipments.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Develops master schedule to prepare short range plans for plant production activities.
  • Works with purchasing department to ensure that sufficient products are on hand to meet short range schedules.
  • Analyzes and adjusts, as necessary, production schedules that are affected by changes in raw material and equipment.
  • Balances production operations, considering product mix, makes calculations, and updates schedules accordingly.
  • Assist with physical inventory preparation.
  • Interact with customer service.
  • Proficient SAP skills.
  • High school Diploma or Equivalent is required; college preferred.

Physical Requirements

 

Ability to engage in shop floor activities/leadership; effective communication skills; ability to work at a computer work station.
