Position Overview

The Marketing Specialist plays an integral part in supporting sales through the development and execution of marketing plans to reach targets through brand awareness and product promotion.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Execute inbound or outbound marketing activities by demonstrating expertise in various areas including content development and optimization, advertising, event planning, etc.)
  • Brainstorm and develop ideas for creative marketing campaigns
  • Conduct market research to gain insight on habits and trends
  • Build and promote the Hubbell Gas Connectors & Accessories (HGCA) brand through website content and social media
  • Create and maintain all digital and print catalogs and associated libraries
  • Work with Sales and Product Development to develop the New Product introductions including imagery and video, both instructional for sales and information for customers and distributors
  • Initiate, develop and create press releases and articles as needed
  • Distribute sales collateral to sales force upon request
  • Planning and execution of all tradeshows

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in related field required
  • Must have 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • A thorough understanding of marketing elements including traditional and digital marketing and market research methods
  • High level expertise in use of social media as a branding tool
  • Exceptional analytical, communication and writing skills
  • Well organized and detail oriented
  • High level expertise with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and web analytics
  • Proficient in MAC and PC applications.
  • SAP experience is a plus.
  • High level expertise in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Event management experience (tradeshows, conferences, etc.)
  • 20% travel required.
