Position Overview

This is a 2nd Shift Position 3:00PM - 11:00PM, typically M-F.  The selected candidate will operate conventional and special purpose machines to fabricate various connectors.

Duties and Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, or specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and limited setup requirements.
  • Starts and runs machinery to produce product, detects malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
  • Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications.
  • Adjusts and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.
  • Tests operation of unit to ensure functionality and performance.
  • Confers with Set-Up personnel to resolve machining or assembly problems.
  • May work with Production Control Planners to schedule the work and perform basic set-ups and adjustments.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
