Position Overview

Sets up and operate presses and machines.

Duties and Responsibilities

Other duties may be assigned:

  • Starts machine and determines tooling to be used and follows procedures.
  • Observes operation and regulates tool position and action as needed.
  • Verifies conformance of machined workpiece to specifications.
  • Changes set-up by pulling die sets in and out of machinery, separating upper and lower die shoe, maintain proper adjustments while running machine, and maintenance of machine as needed using various hand tools.
  • Changes tooling as needed.
  • Works closely with Engineering and Tool Room employees.

Skills and Experience

One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
