Position Overview

The inventory control manager is a crucial position in the organization that is responsible for directing the company's inventory control and inventory record accuracy programs that include the execution of inventory management strategy. This position is responsible for overseeing the shipping and receiving operations. The inventory control manager responsibilities comprise of managing, controlling as well as monitoring the activities related to inventory management. It also includes interacting with the personnel involved in various functions like material planning, warehousing, inventory control, master scheduling, receiving and shipping, etc., ensuring compliance with all the needs of the internal as well as external customers and the organization's facility system.

Duties and Responsibilities

1)       Responsible for directing and managing the tasks related to inventory management. Accountable for coordinating and planning the production control, inventory management, scheduling of shipments, and raw material planning (Flow of material).

2)       Manage the inventory levels for finished goods and raw materials. (verifying, tracking, and reporting on inventory for accurate inventory data; responsible for correct inventory counts)

3)       Coordinate and direct the activities related with keeping accurate records on the incoming as well as outgoing shipments and preparing the items so that they can be shipped. This role involves using discretion and independent judgment for directing the activities of inventory matters

4)       Manage, lead, and direct the collection of demand data throughout all levels of the bill of material (BOM), perform analysis of trends and generate forward looking forecasts of anticipated demand in the stock plan

Skills and Experience

Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Knowledge of SAP or Similar ERP systems a must.
