Job Overview
The Regional Specifications Manager, reporting to the Regional Vice President, with dotted line responsibility to the Premise Wiring Regional Managers. The scope of his/her responsibilities includes Wiring Systems and Premise Wiring products with the emphasis on the ability to HES cross sell opportunities.
- Account responsibility is directed at medium to large electrical contractors, consulting engineering firms, owners and architectural firms.
- Strategic interaction with target electrical contractors and Hubbell distributors involved in the project cycle.
- Communicate through the Regional Vice President, District Manager, Territory Manager on project opportunities, results and issues.
- Promotes vertical market sales strategies through multiple HES brands.
A Day In The Life
- Target Commercial/Data Centers/Institutional accounts to generate specifications that lead to project orders. Support One Hubbell initiatives.
- Write District/Regional and National specifications for all Hubbell products with a focus on Delivery Systems and Premise Wiring Products.
- Coordinate Project opportunities with the local Territory Managers (WD-K and HPW).
- Conduct training seminars at target specifying engineering and architectural firms.
- Maintain account contact database and organizational charts on key accounts (Sales Force, project tracking, spec share)
- In conjunction with the Regional Vice Presidents initiate and develop annual sales plans to achieve District, Regional and National objectives.
- Communicate with Marketing on acquisition targets, new product development and sales tools to better penetrate the commercial market.
- Provides monthly reports to the RVP on key regional trends including competitive analysis.
- Drives new products, cross selling, and conversion initiatives throughout the district.
- Distributes project sales leads throughout region by utilizing Construct Connect and IIR.
- Targets Grainger initiatives in key verticals highlighting institutional segment.
What will help you thrive in this role?
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years Industry experience
- Candidate must have intimate knowledge of the Electrical Construction market and be fully computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
