Job Overview
The Regional Sales Manager plans, organizes, develops and implements Hubbell Commercial Construction platform electrical distribution strategies. Directs the actions of regional sales teams and the sales organization to ensure attainment of sales and profit objectives. Instrumental in implementing regional strategies and objectives to ensure the overall company sales initiatives are met. Responsible, within assigned geographic territory, for managing direct and indirect sales teams, selling Raco, Taymac, Bell, Acme and Wiegmann solutions to end users, distributors and or contractors. Additionally, is responsible for working with Engineers and Consultants in furthering the specifications of Raco, Bell, Taymac, Acme and Wiegmann products and or solutions. Southeast Region Includes: AL, AR, FL, GA, MS, NC, SC, TN, VA. Southeast Regional Manager Position requires that the applicant live in the Southeast Region preferably in larger metro area. (ie Atlanta, Orlando, Nashville, Charlotte)
A Day In The Life
• Responsible for the achievement of regional sales quota, across Hubbell Brands and market segments.
• Responsible for managing, meeting and reporting regional sales, travel, & entertainment budgets.
• Recruit, train, and supervise regional sales team.
• Work with sales team in planning and completing all sales & marketing plans with distributor partners and end-users to assure:
• All available channels of distribution are maintained.
• End-user calls are organized, professional, and objectives are met.
• Responsible for regional sales staff changes and/or additions when necessary. Conduct MRep performance evaluations on a quarterly & annual basis and take corrective action steps where appropriate.
• Carefully monitor local competitive threats and opportunities, local economic and pricing trends, and changes to regional channels of distribution and report significant findings to the RVP on a regular basis.
• Established and maintain high level contacts with all customers and buying influences within the region. Sell “UP” at every opportunity building a strong relationship with key stakeholders in region.
• Meet new product Development targets in region.
• Coordinate Cross Selling, drive conversions and support HES harmonization efforts within region.
• Works with pricing, quotation and marketing teams to support competitive stock levels, SPAs and competitive market intelligence.
• Timely reporting on forecast, market trends, distributor(s), end-user(s), and projects when requested.
• Maintain and achieve SF funnel project opportunity targets and conversions as appropriate.
What will help you thrive in this role?
• Four Year College Degree preferred, preferably in Business Administration or Marketing.
• 5 years of industry experience preferred in the electrical industry at both the distributor and end user level.
• Sales experience with calling on MReps preferred.
• Ability to travel 50 - 65%.
• Must reside within region.
