Position Overview

Reporting directly to the Group Vice President of Finance, the Group Senior Financial Analyst provides financial and non-financial support to Group Leadership. The Senior Financial Analyst also serves a liaison with the Hubbell Corporate Accounting and Financial Planning and Analysis teams.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supports the Group strategic and annual operating plans and monthly forecasting processes.
  • Prepares monthly presentations (Monthly Operating Review, Presidents Council, Staff/Communication Meeting)
  • Prepares consolidated financial and non-financial reports for Group Leadership
  • Manages Group level departmental expenses (actual, forecasts and plan)
  • Performs monthly Intra-company eliminations
  • Serves as Group HFM administrator
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions;
  • Supports enterprise-wide One Hubbell Finance initiatives that deliver greater efficiency and effectiveness for the finance and accounting function.
  • Works closely with Corporate Controlling and FP&A teams to ensure alignment on initiative timing and calendar.
  • Approximately 10-20% travel to domestic sites with occasional international trips to other Group facilities

Skills and Experience

  • CPA and/or MBA preferred
  • 5-7 years of accounting experience with 3+ years in a manufacturing environment
  • Must be familiar with requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act; Section 404.
  • Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) a must
  • SAP experience (finance, controlling, manufacturing and supply chain) a plus
  • Strong analytical skills, advanced Excel skills
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Works well in group problem solving situations.


Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
