Strategic Initiatives Project & Operations Lead

Job Overview

The Strategic Initiatives Project & Operations Lead reports directly to the IT Infrastructure Strategic Initiatives Leader and is responsible for a pivotal role in the planning, execution, and implementation of Hubbell Infrastructure Strategic Initiatives projects and programs. The Strategic Initiatives organization provides support to other Infrastructure towers by providing platforms that support the business, automations that enable enhanced delivery, and delivering projects that span across traditional infrastructure towers. Accountable for ownership, planning, coordination, and managing of various programs within the Strategic Initiatives organization.

A Day In The Life

1.    Strategy & Leadership Development: Partner with the Strategic Initiatives Leader to plan and develop the portfolio of the organization’s Strategic Initiatives to meet business and IT goals within budget, on target, as projected. 
2.    Lead cross-tower infrastructure projects and initiatives to modernize and simplify Hubbell’s infrastructure landscape.
3.    M&A Project Management and Support including New Demand ensuring on time and on budget delivery of forecasted projects.
4.    Manage and execute Cloud FinOps across all Hubbell cloud tenants. Develop and mature Hubbell FinOps program and provide reporting on cost savings and delivery efforts.
5.    Manage and execute SecOps across all Hubbell infrastructure environments.  Ongoing EVM Management including Cyber Exception Request Form (CERF) Management. Drive reduction in overall vulnerabilities across all IT infrastructure both on premise and in cloud. Report on SecOps delivery and compliance to senior leadership.
6.    Intune and Automation Delivery, Refinement, Project Delivery. Assist Intune administrators to implement improvements and automation to relevant project areas.
7.    Deliver Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) Improvements across Hubbell cloud infrastructure working closely with security product owners to drive adherence and report delivery of efforts.
8.    Stakeholder Communication and Management for areas of responsibility including written and presentation reporting. 
9.    Manage and ensure service delivery from 3rd party partners for areas of responsibility.
10.    Other Projects as assigned.

Skills and Experience
•    3 years experience with product ownership and management
•    3 years experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
•    1 year experience managing and remediating technical debt 
•    1 year experience understanding of vulnerability management, security posture, and best practices
•    1 year experience with FinOps execution and management
•    Experience with Azure / AWS Cloud Technologies and Optimization Processes
•    Experience with Active Directory, Azure AD, Intune, Windows Servers, Linux, and Virtualization Technologies
•    Experience with deployment of new and emerging technologies and their challenges
•    ITIL certification preferred 
•    Proficient and effective communication skills 
•    Experience working collaboratively with global resources
•    Ability to travel up to 10% (regional and global travel)

Technical Competencies
•    Project Management certification or demonstrated experience required.
•    AZ-900 required
•    FinOps Cloud Practitioner required
•    ITIL Foundation v4 certification a plus.
•    Demonstrated system administration experience in a global environment preferred.

Education
•    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
