Division Overview
Hubbell Commercial & Industrial (HCI) provides solutions for a broad range of non-residential and residential construction, commercial and industrial applications along with high-voltage test and measurement solutions. Location

This position is remote but must be within a commutable distance of Greenville, SC for occasional office visits.

Position Overview

The Sales Representative is primarily responsible for managing open projects within the prospective dollar range, providing exceptional customer experience, and participating in the closure of new national account business. Touch points include, but are not limited to: pricing, specification review, customer service order management, pre-sale forecasting, inventory management, post-sale issue resolution, and order entry.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Acquire knowledge of Hubbell Lighting product offering, application and market strategy to support the best product solution evaluation 
  • Collaborate with Brand and/or Pricing management for new/custom product solutions, or when significant pricing competitiveness is required, and determine hit/miss rate to close the sale
  • Develop direct customer relationships with the intention of minimizing day-to-day engagement 
  • Translate customer requirements and forecasted demand while networking with Supply Chain and Customer Support functions to deliver on commitments with minimum company investment
  •  Recommend and justify company investment into raw or finished materials as required to achieve service goals and commitments
  • Provide tech support and process warranty claims in collaboration with Engineering and Tier 1 Support staff  
  • Apply knowledge of Lean Toolset to the management of assigned processes/accounts and minimize intervention in the process of delivering an exceptional customer experience

Education, Skills and Experience

  • 4-year degree, preferably in Business, or 8+ yrs of offsetting experience
  • Proven relationship-building and customer leadership skills
  • Validated analytic skill set, resourcefulness, and creative decision-making abilities 
  • Drive to produce measurable results and continuously improve with a strength in data analysis
  • Digital literacy, including SAP or other ERP, MS Office (emphasis on Excel, PowerBI)
  • Ability to work from home office
