Job Overview

Coordinate the efficient operation of manufacturing activities by performing supervisory tasks, while complying with current policies and procedures, QMS and safety requirements.

A Day In The Life

  • Work as a team and maintain excellent working relationships with all employees, maintaining an effective and open communication with all employees and all functions, and encourage employee involvement.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and a safe working environment.
  • Assure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure workers are properly trained and equipped with the right tools to do their job correctly.
  • Achieve productivity gains while improving quality and meeting customer schedules, working towards reducing costs and eliminating waste.
  • Utilize available resources effectively.
  • Provide supervisory role in dealing with shop problems and make the decisions necessary to alleviate or remove the problem.
  • Perform all related administrative functions effectively.
  • Train and motivate workers.  Take interest in their jobs and provide clear, concise work instructions.
  • Maintain CMC’s commitment to excellence, quality and customer service.
  • When necessary, may be required to perform setup inspection, make dispositions and document findings.
  • When necessary, may be required to assemble production jobs, handle material, set up tables, and any other job duty associated with the manufacturing of product.
  • Be an active participant the various management committees that must be attended.    Establish goals and encourage growth and new ideas.  Follow-up may be required to achieve goals.    
  • Be a coach and mentor while coordinating daily workload and facilitating projects.
  • Be a liaison between departments and facilities to disperse information and encourage communication.

  • Education and/or experience – High school diploma or GED preferred, as well as three years related work experience.  Employee must be able to perform basic reading, writing and mathematical functions.
  • Language Skills – Ability to communicate effectively with others both orally and in writing.  Ability to read and comprehend instructions, memorandums and correspondence.  
  • Mathematical Skills – Basic mathematical skills are required.  Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Reasoning Ability – Ability to understand and carry out detailed written and oral instructions.
  • Computer Skills – Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registration – Must possess (acquire through training) and maintain fork lift operator certification.
