Job Overview

Coordinate the efficient operation of manufacturing activities by performing supervisory tasks, while complying with current policies and procedures, QMS and safety requirements.

A Day In The Life

  • Oversee production employees, manage department utilization to maximize direct labor earned hours, issue employee corrective action as needed.
  • Manage department safety and ensure all employees are following required safety practices.
  • Manage department staffing based on demand
  • Maintain department 5S standards and participate in Kaizen activities and support Lean initiatives.
  • Review production plan and create scheduling plan to minimize setup's and maximize machine uptime.
  • Participate with Gemba daily management for production.
  • Participate with root cause analysis, implement corrective actions and complete necessary 8D's.
  • Manage Etime and approvals. Also approve daily time tickets for Labor Scanning Program.
  • Complete employee performance reviews each year.

  • Microsoft word, excel, and power points
  • College degree a plus
  • 3-4 years previous experience previous in a leadership or supervisory role preferred
  • Good problem solving skills 
  • Good coaching and mentoring skills
  • Previous machining skills in aluminum extrusion a plus
  • Maintenance experience a plus
