A Day In The Life

Financial Reporting for Hubbell Enterprise Sourcing

  • Analyze and interpret financial data related to sourcing activities, including cost breakdowns, savings reports, and total cost of ownership (TCO) calculations.
  • Develop and maintain accurate financial models to forecast future spend and project cost benefits, including baselining needs for upcoming projects/sourcing events.
  • Prepare clear and concise financial reports for senior leadership, highlighting key trends and actionable insights.

Expanded Project Management and Validation

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define objectives, timelines, and budgets for strategic sourcing projects.
  • Lead the data collection and analysis phase, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and identify potential roadblocks, proactively developing mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor project progress closely, track key metrics, and report deviations or variances from plans.
  • Manage project documentation and ensure compliance with established protocols.

Reinforced Supplier Relationship Management

  • Foster collaborative relationships with key suppliers, building trust and open communication.
  • Analyze supplier performance data and identify areas for improvement, negotiating beneficial contracts.
  • Develop and implement supplier risk management strategies to mitigate potential disruptions.

Continuous Improvement Champion

  • Identify and analyze opportunities for streamlining and optimizing our sourcing processes.
  • Propose and implement innovative solutions to improve cost efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in strategic sourcing, sharing valuable insights with the team.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Overall 12-15 years of experience with minimum 5-7 years of experience in procurement or supply chain analysis, with a strong emphasis on financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and financial modeling software (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Python).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with strategic sourcing methodologies and best practices a plus.
