Position Overview

The Document Specialists works with the Consumer new product develop team to coordinate and assist with all new product launches. Project manages all relevant data requirements for new product development tracking including required database information.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and audit new product database (MS Access) [“gatekeeper” for all relevant new product data]
    • Develop and generate new product development reports through MS Access and/or MS Excel
    • Manage issuance of IPRs or related processes required for creation of new materials in SAP
      • Position will be designated back-up for Décor/Commercial Document Specialists
  • Coordinates with Consumer product team to prepare for new product meetings and presentations
    • Attends all internal new product meetings for Consumer team
    • Identifies action items during meetings and proactively follows up
  • Supports Consumer team in preparation for customer product line reviews
  • Support Consumer Marketing Specialist customer projects; example as follows:
    • Processing 3rd party invoices for payment through Hubbell A/P
    • Data collection and entry into customers systems for New Product Launches
    • Data collection and entry into customers systems for Engineering Change Notices
    • Data Collection for production of packaging artwork
    • Proofreading packaging and product instruction sheets
    • Sales reporting and analysis
    • Sample tracking
  • Additional duties as needed

Skills and Experience

  • Associate Degree in Marketing or Business-related field or equivalent experience
  • Strong computer literacy with at least intermediate skill level in Microsoft Access and Excel; advanced skill level a plus. MS Word, MS PowerPoint and e-mail skills necessary. SAP experience a plus.
  • Ability to quickly learn new customer systems for data management
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to project manage multiple projects at one time and deliver desired results
  • Must be self-directed and attentive to detail
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 15 lbs

Education

Associates Degree in Marketing or Business

Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Business
