We are hiring a Plant Manager to our winning Corona, CA location! 

 

The role involves overseeing the manufacturing process, including departments such as production, quality, planning, maintenance, engineering, continuous improvement, and warehouse. The responsibilities include leading a work community focused on systems thinking and continuous improvement, ensuring a safe work environment, managing the manufacturing function, strategic planning, budgeting, meeting production schedules and cost objectives, and maintaining industry and customer standards. The ideal candidate should have at least 8 years of manufacturing management experience, a degree in Business Management or equivalent, strong financial management knowledge, experience in a growth-oriented sales and marketing organization, expertise in Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma quality processes, and excellent communication skills. Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications and will be discussed during the interview process. The salary range for this role is $135,000-$170,000 per year. This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

 

Responsible for the direction, strategy, planning and execution of the company’s manufacturing process.  Plans, organizes, directs and controls the activities and the performance of all department functions – Production, Quality, Planning, Maintenance, Engineering, Continuous Improvement, & Warehouse.

  • Leadership of the company’s manufacturing function including management of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, & People.  
  • Aligns the vision and communication organizational plans with that support Hubbell’s SIM & AIM.
  • Provide advice, coaching, guidance, and mentoring to employees on operations initiatives and necessary changes.
  • Selects and maintains qualified personnel in all direct report positions, and supervises the hiring, development, evaluation and termination, if necessary, of all other personnel responsible to direct reports.
  • Lead managers to evaluate and take actions that are consistent with the company’s overall strategy.
  • Be a leader in overall strategic planning to include production and productivity improvement activities and growth strategies for the benefit of Hubbell. 
  • Responsible for the development and management of the annual operating budget.
  • Plan, organize and manage the activities necessary to meet production schedules and cost objectives.
  • Execute plans for additional equipment, improved processes, and facilities when required.
  • Ensure that manufacturing capabilities meet or exceed all industry and customer standards. 
  • Manage stakeholder requirements for cost, quality and responsiveness.
  • Monitor performance against performance goals to ensure progress is being made and corrective action, if necessary, is taken.
  • Maintain a non-union culture for our employees.
  • Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

What will help you thrive in this role?

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years experience manufacturing management experience.
  • Bachelors Degree or higher in Business Management or equivalent. 
  • Strong knowledge of Financial Management.
  • Experience in a growth-oriented sales and marketing organization.
  • 5+ years experience with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma quality processes.
  • Proficiency in Excel along with all other computer skills is needed. 


Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both on plant floor and in executive office.
  • Demonstrated initiative and desire to drive change and is motivated to exceed expectations.
  • System Thinking.
