A Day In The Life
- Must follow PCX safety guidelines and requirements
- Fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques and operating various welding devices.
- Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine appropriate welding process with assistance from supervision.
- Being a Welder I inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness.
- Familiar with and complies with all safety requirements and protocols for working in a hazardous environment.
- Welder I may be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty.

- High School diploma (or equivalence) preferred.
- Able to lift 35# consistently.
- Ability to work 10 hours or more per day and weekends as required.
